Last weekend over 150 paddlers assembled at the mighty Holme Pierre Point to participate in the European Open/British Championships. The Saturday was concluded by jam heats for all the elite, intermediate and novice competitions, with a super final in the evening. Whilst the Sunday unleashed the craziness of Kayaking with a down river race, inflatable race, downriver freestyle, synchro freestyle and various other events to get everyone involved. I was delighted to make the super finals and place 3rd overall. The event was the perfect contrast of all levels of kayaking whilst showcasing the nature of the sport. I’m already excited to come back next year and try and gain that top spot!
